Bruno J Lucchese Feb. 7, 1923 Apr.22, 2010 Resident of Alameda Our beloved father passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010. He was 87. Loving husband of 45 years to Betty Janiszewski (deceased). Survived by his caring partner Lee Oliver. Father to Cheryl (Don) Pensotti, Craig (Liz) Lucchese and Peter (Nancy) Lucchese. Grandfather to Jennifer & Peter, John, Stephen, Cristina & Katherine, Peter, Matt & Jess. Great grandfather to six. Brother to Norina(Simone) Caviglia and Maria(Edmond) Serchia and loving uncle. Bruno was born on February 7, 1923 in Maserada Sul Piave, Italy to Pietro and Teresa Lucchese. He and his family immigrated to the US when he was 14. Bruno was proud to serve as a Marine in WWII. He owned B & L Construction; working hard to support his family. He loved his many bird collections and enjoyed pheasant hunting with his sons and other family members. He spent his remaining years living in Alameda, where many of his projects remain as a testament to his life. He truly lived the "American Dream." Visitation on Monday, April 26 from 6-8pm with Rosary at 6:30pm at Greer Family Mortuary, 2694 Blanding Ave, Alameda. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, April 27 at 10am at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 3108 Van Buren St, Alameda. In lieu of flowers send donations to your favorite charity.
