David Earl Butenhoff-Forristall Feb. 23, 1932 - Sept. 24, 2014 Resident of Fairfield David Earl Butenhoff-Forristall passed away peacefully in his home in Green Valley, Fairfield, CA surrounded by his family on Wed., Sept. 24, 2014. Dave was born on Feb. 23, 1932 in St. Louis, MO to Earl L. Butenhoff and Celeste C. Butenhoff. After a brief marriage and divorce, Celeste married William G. Forristall, at which time Dave's surname was changed to Forristall. Dave attended local elementary and middle schools growing up, and eventually the University of Arkansas where he studied Business Administration. Dave later became the owner of Utility Products Industrial Ladder Company in Oakland, CA over 50 years ago and upon his retirement passed the baton to his eldest son Dino Forristall. Dave was an early member of Green Valley Country Club (over 40 years). He loved golf and played the sport his entire adult life. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He loved being with his large family and spending time at home. Dave is survived by his wife of 49 years, Victoria (Fairfield), and children, Dino (wife Christine), David (Lori), Brigitte, and Matthew (wife Julie). Grandchildren: Zachary (wife Kara), Bill, Hannah, Shelby, Sherry, Tony, Michele (husband Kevin), Seth, Wade, and Kyle. Great Grandchildren: Silas, Violet, Lexi, and Logan. Brother Glennon (wife Sara Kate), sister Michele (husband Jim), sisters, Janice, Florence, and brothers Jerry and Tom. Dave is preceded in death by his parents and brother Johnny, also daughter Kellie Kay and grandson Alexander. Dave and Vicki are members of Parkway Community Church. Friends are invited to a memorial service at Parkway Community Church, 2397 Heath Dr., Fairfield, CA, Tues., Oct. 7, 2014 at 1pm. Celebration of Dave's life will be held at the Cordelia Fire Hall (2155 Cordelia Rd - Fairfield, CA) immediately following the memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Yolo Hospice, The Leaven, or SPCA local Humane Society.
