David Francis Christeson Obituary
David Francis Christeson
Dec. 31, 1986 ~ Feb. 19, 2014
Resident of Denver, CO Formerly of Livermore, CA
David Francis Christeson died from an accident in his home on February 19, 2014 at the age of 27. Born in Iowa City, Iowa to David and Laurie Christeson, David spent his early childhood years in Burnsville, MN and Cedar Rapids, IA until moving with his family to Livermore, CA in 1999 when he was 12. He graduated from Granada High School in Livermore and then attended Las Positas Community College prior to beginning a career with Comcast Corporation, beginning in Livermore and later transferring to Denver, CO where he resided with his incredible girlfriend Trisha Cox.
David was loved and admired by so many people for his gift of being able to have wonderful thoughtful conversations with people he knew and those he just met for the first time. He could make anybody smile with a slight gesture or nod. The stories are endless from those who knew and cared for him.
David had a passion for cooking and reading. He loved the creative side of cooking focusing on charcuteries, sausages and his own secret curry. He honed his talents by learning from chefs in the Denver area. His book collection was vast and he was very well read on subjects of culture and the human struggle.
He is survived by his mother and father, sisters Amanda and Alexandria, grandparents Lynn and Carol Christeson of Webster City, Iowa and Eugene and Esther O'Rourke of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, too many aunts uncles and cousins to mention, Trisha Cox and many friends who loved him including Nathan Clough, who he loved and admired as a brother. He is preceded in death by one of his best friends Brendan Rigby. We know he is in heaven catching up with old friends and relatives and looking down on us wishing for happiness for all of us.
A celebration of David's life will held at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Livermore at 11:00 am on Friday, February 28, and continued for the remainder of the day at his parents home in Livermore.
