Elise Marie Boyd Obituary
Elise Marie Boyd
June 2, 1927-April 7, 2014
Resident of San Ramon
Elise Marie Boyd (Schulze) gracefully passed away at her home in San Ramon with her children at her side. She genuinely loved all those who were dear to her and she was compassionate and generous to everyone she met. Her pretty smile and thoughtfulness will truly be missed by all.
Elise is survived by her son, Roy Crawford Smith; daughter & son-in-law, Janet & David Jimenez; & her adoring grandchildren Megan & Abdiel Borbon, & Chelsea Jimenez. She is also survived by her "little sister" Maxine & brother-in-law Harold Meinster; her nieces & their husbands, Mary & Glenn Bailey & Sue & Chuck Holman; great-nieces & nephews.
Elise was born in San Juan Bautista, CA to Rudolf Schulze and Mary Daisy Barbee. She moved to Redwood City when she was young. She graduated from Sequoia Union High and San Jose State University and worked as an Administrative Secretary for many years in the Bay Area. Elise's first job was for Columbia Steel in SF and she retired from the San Mateo County Probation Dept. where she finished her secretarial career. She then moved to San Ramon to be closer to her precious granddaughters. Here, she made many new friends but always stayed in touch with her high school "chums", co-workers, and family. Many will remember Elise from her volunteer work with Girl Scouts, Stanford and Kaiser Hospitals, Mt. Carmel and St. Anthony's Catholic Churches (Redwood City), Villa San Ramon and San Damiano Retreat Center (Danville). Elise was a member of the Natl Secretary's Association's El Camino Chapter, San Mateo County "SCORPA", Danville and San Ramon Senior Centers, CPC's "Prime Time", St. Isidore's "Young at Heart", "Happy-Go-Lucky" Lunch Group, and St. Joan's "Early Timers". She so enjoyed outings, luncheons and friends. Elise's family and friends will cherish her gracious and loving spirit until they meet again.
Friends and Family are invited to a Memorial Mass on Thursday June 19, 2014 at 11:00am at San Damiano Retreat Center's Chapel, 710 Highland Drive, Danville. Luncheon and memories to follow the mass. Donations in lieu of flowers to East Bay Hospice or San Damiano.
