I am a friend of Kathleen & Chuck's - we go to Redwood Covenant Church together, and I want you to know that you both and Everett have been in my daily prayers since I heard about the trajedy. I pray that our dear Lord & Savior gives you the peace and comfort that only he can give. My prayer is that you experience a respite from the enormous pain you live from day to day.

I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your dear, little baby. I know this accident could have happened to anyone, including me. As a parent of a 3 month old, I can hardly imagine the pain you must be feeling.
Everett will always know how much you both loved him, and that you did your best to protect him. We are only human.

I cannot stop thinking and crying about both of you and your son. I am so sorry for your loss and you and your son have been in my thoughts each and every day since Monday. I feel like a member of my own family has died, despite never having met you or Everett. I walked to the BART station that morning a little late for work. I only wish I had cut through the parking lot over to Starbucks and back as I have done in the past. I am so sorry things didn't work the way they should have on that day. Despite what anyone else may say, please know that it could have been any one of us working parents - it really could have.
I hope that time will heal all wounds for both of you and that you know Everett is still with you, only in a different way. Please also know that you have an entire community behind you, thinking of you and praying for you and loving a little boy whom most of us have never met. Again, I am so, so, sorry . . .

We want you to know how deeply sorry we are for the pain you’re going through. Everett had the most amazing infectious smile and a brilliant sparkle in his eyes. In the time that he was with us, he brought us so much joy and brightened up our days. Without a doubt, Everett will forever be in our thoughts and in our hearts. It is always hard to try to understand why these things happen.
May God surround you and your family with his loving arms as only he can do and through the days and weeks ahead may you find some comfort in knowing that there are many people around the world praying for you. Everett is safe in the arms of the Angels and you will be with him again one day. I will continue to pray for you and your family. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives.
Always remember that you both were the best parents Everett could've ever hoped for, you brought him so much love, happiness and comfort into his life, and it was very obvious. To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,

Baby Everett, I can't even put into words just how much you are going to be missed. I am thankful that I was givin the chance to be apart of your life. This all feels like such a bad dream and every morning when I hear the door bell I keep waiting to see your sweet face when I open the door, no matter what kind of day I was having once I got to work and saw your smile nothing else seemed to matter.
