Frank S. Peixoto Oct. 20, 1932 - Apr. 22, 2013 Former Bay Area Resident Frank S. Peixoto, 80, passed away Monday, April 22, 2013, surrounded by his family, at his home in Green Valley. Frank was born October 20, 1932, in San Francisco, California, a son to Frank and Mary (Park) Peixoto. Frank graduated from Richmond High School (Richmond, CA) as an All American football player in 1950. Frank received college athletic scholarships but was drafted into the United States Army where he served our country during the Korean Conflict as a Master Sergeant. After returning home from Korea, Frank attended the University of California at Berkeley and received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Frank worked for the Chevron Corporation for over 34 years, retiring as the Aviation Fuels Manager. On June 23, 1956, Frank was united in marriage to Sharon Elaine Bailey in Berkeley, CA. Frank and Sharon lived in Richmond, New York, Pinole where their children grew up, Fairfield, Roseville and Green Valley for the last few years. Frank enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Europe with Sharon but was extremely fond of their trips to the Hawaiian Islands. Frank is survived by his loving wife, Sharon (Bailey) Peixoto of Green Valley, CA; daughter Mary Milina (Brandon and Stefanie) of Rio Vista, CA; three sons, David Peixoto (Barbara, Brian and Katy) of Martinez, CA, Michael Peixoto (Michael Frank) of Vacaville, CA and Mitchell Peixoto (Shelley, Cassidy, Hunter and Ian) of Fairfield, CA; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Frank was an avid sportsman - he loved marlin fishing in Mexico and Hawaii and he enjoyed working as a Marshal for Rancho Solano. Frank was always the first person at the ball field to watch his children and grandchildren's sporting events. Frank also enjoyed all the Chatelaines events he attended with Sharon and always wanted to be President! A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Friday, May 17, 2013 at 1 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn, Fairfield, California and lunch will be served.
