Juliet Johannessen

Juliet Johannessen 1919 ~ 2013 Resident of Alamo Julie was born in the city of Lucca in Northern Italy. At the age of three she came to the USA with her family via Ellis Island and then to Richmond, Ca. She is survived by her loving husband Edward Johannessen whom she met at Richmond High in the 1930's. They were married in the Stanford Chapel in June of 1943 and recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. She is also survived by their family: Beloved daughter Judy Lewis of Danville; granddaughter Nicole Bowers (Todd) in Seattle, grandson Justin Lewis (Adrian) of Orinda; and three great grandsons; Colin Bowers, Rhys Bowers, and Ethan Lewis. Also survived by her brother Romeo Pasquini in Richmond, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins in the USA and Italy. She was a member of the Crow Canyon Country Club and the last surviving Charter Member of the Assistance League of Diablo Valley. At her request there were no services other than a small family gathering. Her departure leaves a wound for the family that will never heal. If love could have prolonged her life she would have lived forever!!
