Montie Jane Balestieri 1925 ~ 2008 Our loving sister, aunt and friend, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2008. She was born in Morgan, Utah. A daughter of George Lacy and Amy Chloe Lyons-Criddle. She was one of eleven children. She attended school in Morgan, UT and in the 1940's she moved to California where she lived in Oakland, Alameda and San Leandro. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, San Leandro Ward. She married George Balestieri in 1980 and he preceded her in death on September 14, 1995. Surviving are three sisters, Louise Radenbaugh of 29 Palms, CA, Ruth Fruge of Oakland, CA and Mae - (Daniel) Fruge of Fernley, NV. Along with many nieces and nephews that were very close to her. Nieces Amy Hewett-Fruge and Jackie Peters, along with her sister Mae and Husband Daniel Fruge were her primary caregivers during her last 3 months of illness. Viewing hours will be Thursday, December 4th from 5:00 to 9:00 pm with funeral service beginning at 7:00 pm held at Guerrero Mortuary, 407 Estudillo Avenue, San Leandro. Graveside dedication will be Friday, December 5th, 2008 at 11:00 am held at Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery on Mission Blvd., Hayward.
