Richard George "Tod" Todoroff|
April 7, 1924 - Sept 15, 2013
Resident of Walnut Creek
Tod Todoroff passed away suddenly but peacefully at his home in Walnut Creek. Born in Danville to Tonya & George Todoroff, he was a graduate of San Ramon Valley High School and attended U.C.Berkeley, leaving to serve in the US Navy.
Tod married his first wife Suzann (Tuddy) Lawrence in 1946, settling in Walnut Creek to raise their three children Jeff, Bill and Elizabeth. Six years after Tuddy's passing, Tod married Sharon Martin in 2006 and she brought a whole new group of friends and family into his life. Tod was predeceased by his first wife Suzann, his brothers Boris and Robert, and his granddaughter Cherril. He leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
A cowboy in his younger days, Tod retained that love of the outdoors and Lake Tahoe. Tod enjoyed golfing, fishing, travel and many a good drink and meal, where his sharp wit and humor were readily displayed. He was always game for dice with friends.
Tod was a member of Elk's Lodge #1811, the Walnut Creek Historical Society, and the California Sheriff's Association. He loved Walnut Creek and the San Ramon Valley and the many relationships he formed both professionally and personally.
Tod was a presence everywhere he went and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. You were his reason for living.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, Sept. 23rd at 2 p.m. at Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel, 1139 Saranap Ave. in Walnut Creek.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Walnut Creek Historical Society, 2660 Ygnacio Valley Road, Walnut Creek, CA 94598, or to the John Muir Health Foundation, 1400 Treat Blvd, Walnut Creek, CA, 94597.
