Bill passed away on Monday after a battle with brain cancer. He touched many lives with his "Can Do" attitude and love of life. Bill was born in Sewickley, PA, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Petroleum Engineering where he sponsors a scholarship in Chemical and Petroleum Engineering at Swanson School of Engineering. He enjoyed a 35 year career with Gulf Oil of Harmarville, PA and Chevron Oil of San Ramon which took him all over the world including Africa, Europe, Japan, India and South America. He enjoyed floating in the pool with his favorite book and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Donna; devoted children Valerie Parrish of Ankeny, Iowa, Sharon Lyons and Bill Cook of Concord, CA, and grandchildren, David Parrish of Omaha, NE, and William and James Cook of Concord, CA. He is also survived by his older brother Robert Cook of Sedona, AZ. Bill will be missed by all who knew him.
Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Thursday Nov 21 from 5-8pm and a funeral service on Friday Nov 22 at 10am at Oakmont Memorial Park, 2099 Reliez Valley Road, Lafayette, CA
