John Richard Marshall
24 years old
Resident of Lafayette and Rodeo
John passed away in the morning on Thursday, July 5th. He died peacefully and unexpectedly in his sleep. John was a sweet young man and a very special person. He was and is still a gift to each of us even though he had to endure some very significant and daunting challenges. He treasured his childhood things, Disneyland, Star Trek, SpongeBob and he was a great eater. He loved music and his family and friends. As a youngster he was a character, full of opinions. We are grateful for the efforts of the Lafayette, Acalanes and John Swett School Districts, Spectrum Center of San Pablo, John's Adult Day Program, RES Success of Martinez, RCEB, Bethesda Lutheran Communities and all the many people, friends and professionals, who were part of his big yet short life. We will celebrate John's life on Wednesday, July 11th at Lafayette Orinda Presbyterian Church in the chapel at 10am.
He leaves his parents, Dick and Kathy Marshall, his brother Rob Marshall and his caretakers, Rhonda and Bob Quesada, and their family, especially Rhonda's son, Keith Johnpeer. John also leaves his Grandmother, Irene Wise, and his Aunts and Uncles and many cousins in Marin County, Edmonds, WA and Geneva Il, and Milton, WI.
John did his best for all of his life and we miss him very much. Your thoughts, prayers and presence will help us celebrate John's life and will help further secure his place in our lives until we join him where his soul now rests at peace.
If anyone wishes to make a contribution, we suggest John's Day Program, RES Success, 706 Main Street Suite B, Martinez, 94553, or any charity that you prefer that supports special children and adults.
