After 98 years of a long, life's journey, Eva Lilian Monk Edwards, has moved on to her new forever life in heaven.
Eva was born in London, England, to Albert and Catherine Monk. She worked as a clerical assistant to a Timber Merchant during World War II. Eva met her husband, Eric Edwards, during this time in London. Eric (originally from Scotland) moved to Canada before the war and was serving with the Royal Canadian Engineers during World War II. Eva and Eric were married in 1943 and after the war, moved to Ocean Falls, British Columbia. They eventually moved to the Bay Area settling in Antioch in 1956.
Eva worked as a stenographer for the State Water Quality Control Board in Oakland and later for the City of Antioch Police department where she retired from in 1980. In retirement, Eva enjoyed learning to play piano, traveling and Masterpiece Theatre (especially the British programs!).
Eric passed away in 1991 and Eva moved to Rossmoor and then later resided at Sunrise of Danville. Eva is survived by her children, Keith Edwards (Sheri) and Joan Huston (Gil), and (1) granddaughter, Lindsay McCombs (Sean).
