Shirlee Mavis Beutler Clyde, age 91 years, of Danville California, passed away on May 30, 2014 at the Manor Care Facility in Walnut Creek. She touched many lives with her gentle spirit and positive outlook on life.
She was born in Smithfield, Utah on January 8, 1923, at her grandparents' home. She was raised in Logan, Utah and graduated from Logan High School.
Shirlee was married for time and all eternity on May 22, 1942, in the Logan LDS Temple to Ned Packard Clyde, who preceded her in death. They were married for 56 years. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served diligently throughout her life.
She enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends, and especially loved visits by the little children.
Shirlee is survived by her devoted children Carolee Broby (Wes) of Danville, Christine Hagen (Myron) of Danville and Barry Clyde of San Ramon, 15 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren, and many other family and friends.
Friends and family are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, June 3, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Chapel of San Ramon Valley Funeral Home, 825 Hartz Way, Danville.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on June 4, 2014, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building, located at 2949 Stone Valley Road, Alamo, California. A viewing will be held prior to the service at the Chapel at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Oakmont Cemetery in Lafayette.
