Resident of Pleasanton
Mel Colvin passed away on Thursday June 12. He was a man of gentle strength and honor with an incredible sense of humor.
He was born in OK, and moved to CA eventually settling in Pleasanton where he raised his family. As a young man he served 2 ½ years in the US Army earning many honors including a
. While recovering from war injuries he met and married the love of his life. After discharge he worked for 27 years for AM Corp until he started his own business, Melco Ent, in 1984 repairing printing presses. He helped many of his long time friends and customers who he came to love. He loved fishing, bowling and most of all family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Wanda, his 3 children Larry (Julie), Dennis (Denise) Pam (Richard), 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He loved his 3 cats like his children.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Mel's life on Saturday June 21st at 2:00 pm at Valley Bible Church Pleasanton. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to
