Lois J. Adduci passed away suddenly on June 26th, due to complications from back surgery.
Lois was born in Hamilton Ohio graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1960. She earned a full scholarship to and graduated from University of Dayton in 1965, with a Bachelor of Science in Education. She worked as a 1st through 3rd grade teacher for 15 years (St Veronica School, Beavercreek Public School District, Mt. Diablo School District, Holy Rosary School, and St Theresa School), owned and operated two card & gift stores; Countrywood Cards and Gifts & Limericks and later became an award winning floral designer while simultaneously raising her children and family pets. Over the years she touched many lives and was blessed with dear friendships. She was a gifted nurturer; she enjoyed pampering her kids, grandkids, and all types of animals, especially horses, dogs and cats. When her health would allow, she enjoyed extensive vacation planning and travel, creative floral design, reading, frequent trips to the dog park, volunteering at Animal Rescue Foundation in Walnut Creek, and many other kinds of leisure activities.
Lois is survived by her daughter Tracy Laird of Danville, CA, Son-in-Law Matt, grandchildren Bradly and Megan, son Phil Adduci of Benicia, CA, and sister Carol Pfirman of Cincinnati, OH. She is also survived by her pets Jenny (cat) and Riley (dog). Her powerful, loving, and generous spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Friends and Family are invited to her Memorial Liturgy Tuesday July 15th at 10:30am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 1650 Ygnacio Valley Road, Walnut Creek CA with follow on lunch reception.
