Evelyn Ojeda Obituary
Evelyn Ojeda Sept. 27, 1935 ~ Aug. 8, 201 Resident of Pinole, CA Evelyn Ojeda of Pinole passed away after a relatively short illness, with her loving family by her side on August 8, 2014 at the age of 78. A Pinole resident for 55 years. Her Husband of 63 years, Dave Ojeda passed away this year on January 16th and Evelyn went to be with him in Heaven, a mere seven and a half months later. Evelyn Ojeda is survived by her children, Jerry (Denita) Ojeda of Pinole; Gayle (Norman) Simcox of Discovery Bay; Joe (Debbie) Ojeda of Pinole; Steve (Dianna) Ojeda of Salida; Tessie (Rick) Reynolds of Willows, and Jane (Donny) Babb of Brentwood, sisters Betty Vaughn of Hot Springs Arkansas, Tina (Ed) Swanson of El Sobrante, Margie Gutierrez of Vallejo, Della Irvin of Concord and her brother Buck (Mitzi) House of Martinez. She was the proud Grandma of 27 loving Grandchildren, 47 Great Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandchildren and Aunt to many Nieces and Nephews. Evelyn was preceded in Death by her Husband Dave Ojeda, Parents, Ben and Tessie House, Brother's Tommy House, Clifford House, Sister Leota Potap and Grandson Jerry Ojeda JR. Evelyn will be missed so very much by all of her family and friends. Our hearts are broken. Evelyn's Children and Grandchildren meant more to her than life itself and she was always happy to help them in any way needed. Her delicious Chicken Enchilada recipe is used by all of her family and will be passed down for generations to come. Mom enjoyed bingo and keno. Mom and Dad enjoyed their trips to Reno. She also loved bowling with family and friends. She liked word puzzles and enjoyed board games with family. Mom and Dad spent many nights playing dominos which they both enjoyed very much. Evelyn worked for Magic Cup in Richmond in the 50's and 60's as the "lead girl" of the night shift and then came home to care for all of her children. We don't know how she managed it! She opened a Child Care in her home in the 70's and was still in contact with many of the families and their grown children who loved her very much. God Rest her beautiful Soul. Visitation to be held Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014 from 4-8 pm, with Funeral Services the following day, Friday, Aug. 15, 2014 at 12:30 pm. Both held at Wilson & Kratzer, 455 24th St., Richmond, Ca 94804. Interment to follow at Rolling Hills Memorial Park. Wilson & Kratzer (510) 232-4383
