Ethel R. Ollendick Jan. 20, 1919 ~ May 26, 2010 Former Danville Resident Ethel R. Ollendick, 91, a Tracy resident since 2001, died May 25, 2010 at her home. Services are pending. Mrs. Ollendick, born in Cincinnati, Ohio, dedicated her life to her children and family businesses. She also worked for 12 years as a food demonstrator at Costco in Tracy and Danville. In late 2001, she moved into her daughter's home in Tracy. She had previously lived in Danville where she was a parishoner of St. Isidore Catholic Church. A pianist since age 8, she expressed her love of music through that venue. She was an avid gardener and also enjoyed working in her community. Mrs. Ollendick is survived by her children, Bob Ollendick of Tubac, AZ; Jim Ollendick and his wife Michelle of Redwood City; David Ollendick of Little Rock, AR: Merrilee Ollendick of Tracy; Tom Ollendick of Tucson, AZ and Tim Ollendick and his wife of San Ramon. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William H. Ollendick and a son, Dan Ollendick; and a granddaughter. Services are pending at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 440 La Gonda Way, Danville. Burial will be private. Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S Central Ave., Tracy is handling arrangements.
