CAROLYN BAGLEY Obituary
Carolyn Sue Bagley (nee Sealy) Resident of Walnut Creek Carolyn born February 12, 1935, passed away peacefully in the company of her devoted husband, Charles, Friday, April 20, after a short illness in Walnut Creek, California. A career-long Dental Hygienist, her practice spanned from her home state of Oklahoma, to Texas, Arizona and finally the San Francisco Bay Area. She was a proud graduate of the first dental hygiene class of Baylor University in Dallas, Texas in 1957. She also earned her Master's degree in Public Administration in Health at Hayward State University in 1987. Her greatest joy as a hygienist was to encourage her patients to adopt healthy habits to ensure lifelong dental health. Outside of work, her passions included gourmet cooking, traveling, reading, gardening and socializing. Upon first moving to Walnut Creek and Clayton, she actively participated in Gourmet, Newcomer, and Bridge clubs. After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling both overseas in tours and on cruises, and locally in their recreational vehicle. She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Charles Arnold Bagley also of Walnut Creek; daughters Melissa Healy (nee Jackson) of Vallejo; and Robin Wright of Pasadena, California. She is also survived by granddaughter, Amanda Iris Jackson, and great-granddaughter, Kelsey Lynn Garner, both of Antioch. Survivors include: sisters Sally Smalley of Vancouver, Washington and Linda Smalley of Placerville; nieces Debbie Doolan, Wendy Sinclair, Sandy Smalley; nephews Jim Hayes, Fred Smalley; and their families.
