Obituary Condolences

Warren Richard Wiebe Sr. May 16, 1935-June 28, 2012 Resident of Walnut Creek and Penn Valley Warren Richard (Dick) Wiebe Sr. passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday. He touched many lives with his generous spirit, his love of family and his strong work ethic. He was a wonderful husband and father. Dick was born in Fresno, CA and graduated from Fresno State College in 1957 with a degree in Accounting. He earned his C.P.A. Certificate in 1960. He worked for Haskins & Sells for 13 years, achieving the level of Principal. He then worked 9 years as the Treasurer and Controller of United Artists Theatre Circuit. In 1979, he moved to Treasurer and Controller of Festival Enterprises until he retired in 1987. He took great pleasure in working hard and thoroughly enjoyed his colleagues. Dick enjoyed his retirement with his tireless philanthropic efforts. He worked on the Board of Directors for Music in the Mountains from 1998-2001 and 2003-2004. He also worked as the treasurer for Nevada County Theatre Commission. Dick contributed to his community with his time and talent. Dick is survived by his loving wife, Alice; devoted children Rich and Gina Wiebe, Sharon and Paul Cuff, and Cynthia and Doug Henry, and his precious grandchildren, Stephen, Kevin, Ryan, Alyson and Brian. His family celebrated his life and accomplishments with a private family memorial on Sunday, July 1st. His generous loving spirit will be missed by all who knew him.
