Resident of Pacheco
John passed after a long battle with kidney disease. A native of El Cerrito he graduated from El Cerrito High School where he was a stand out distance track star. He leaves many dear friends with whom he has shared great memories. He was an avid fly fisherman and loved nature.
Predeceased by his parents, Gino and Florence Pierotti, he is survived by his sister, Dreana Alaniz (John); daughters Diane Leite (Mike) and Carol Manning (Wade), and step-daughter Cathy Pearson (Darren); grandchildren Niko and Tino Leite, Courtney and Cameron Manning, Jessica and Trevor Pearson; niece Kim Robinson and nephews Joey and John Alaniz; Zio Gino Digesti, Zia Sylvia Digesti and loving cousins.
Memorial services will be held 2 pm, Saturday, December 15 at OAK PARK HILLS CHAPEL, 3111 N. Main St., Walnut Creek.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to support Dr. Flavio Vincenti's Kidney Transplant Research at UCSF. Gifts can be made at
