Peter Graff Obituary
Peter Graff Resident of Oakley Peter Frederick Graff, 44, passed away on February 16, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by family and friends. Pete was born in Washington D.C. on August 1, 1968 and graduated from De La Salle High School in 1986. He was a gifted athlete and avid soccer player from age four through eighteen; earning the nickname "Pele". Pete loved animals. He raised baby chicks in the spring and captured the tiniest of hummingbirds on film. His handmade bluebird houses are an artful reminder of his creative and nurturing spirit. His loyal dogs were his constant companions and we know they are now at his side. Pete was happiest spending time at the "Ranch" hosting memorable gatherings, teaching his nieces and nephews to ride ATVs, and tending the family vineyard. Pete was a talented musician and voracious reader who touched the hearts of many with his sharp wit and boundless generosity. Pete is lovingly remembered by his parents Dave and Ann Graff, his brothers Mike, Russ and Rick Graff, sisters Tamara Phillips, and Kathy Dickey (Matt), eight nieces and four nephews. As was written about his great grandfather, "We've lost a gentle soul" . The family of Pete Graff wishes to thank Epic Care of Antioch and Sutter VNA and Hospice.
