Obituary Condolences

Robert William Rayzor May 8, 1935 - Feb. 26, 2013 Resident of Discovery Bay Our beloved Bob passed away in the early morning hours of Tuesday Feb. 26, 2013 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Born in "paradise" as he always described, he grew up on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, and moved to "The States" at the age of 13. Much of his adult life he resided in Livermore, having started a career at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory at the age of 23. He moved with his family to Discovery Bay in 1987, and finished out his career at the LLNL at the age of 65, when he retired as a Senior Construction Manager in 2000. Bob had a passion for all things fast - having raced cars, motorcycles, boats and logged over 1,000 hours of piloting his beloved Bonanza airplane through the '70s. He also enjoyed golf and working on anything that had an engine in it. He leaves behind his adoring wife of 54 years, Kay, his two sons Dale and Darin, daughter Debbie, sisters Pat and Lou, brother Ted, two grandchildren and numerous loved ones and friends. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at the DBYC in Discovery Bay on Saturday, March 23, 2013 at Noon. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Parkinson's Foundation or .
