Peter Frederik Zucker June 15, 1965-Mar. 18, 2013 Resident of Danville Pete Frederik Zucker, 47, lost his battle with ALS and passed away on March 18, 2013 at his home in Danville, CA. Pete was born on June 15, 1965 in Boston Mass., to Paul and Kathy Zucker. Pete grew up in San Diego, CA. He graduated from Point Loma High School in San Diego in 1983. After high school he attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he met his wife Monica and where he received a degree in Construction Management. Began work in the construction field and latter started and ran a successful construction business, Bremco Construction of Northern California located in Livermore, CA. Pete married Monica in 1994 in Danville, CA. They were happily married for 18 years. Pete was an accomplished TriAthlete and cyclist. His success brought him to Florida where he competed in the 70.3 Triathlon World Championships. Pete later became a member of the Wells Fargo Cycling Team, now Kovarus/Wells Fargo. Pete is survived by his wife Monica of Danville, CA; his sons Ryan 16 and Zachary 13. A memorial service will be held at Cornerstone Church 348 North Canyons Parkway, Livermore, CA on April 5th at 1:00. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Pete Zucker Foundation, www.petezuckerfoundation.org. The Pete Zucker Foundation was established in honor of Pete with the goal of assisting awareness and the eventual cure of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, ALS.
