Duane Warner Obituary
Duane Grant Warner Danville Resident Duane Grant Warner, 92, passed away peacefully at home on March 25, 2013. A resident of Danville for 45 years, he lived in Concord for the past two years. He was born April 13, 1920, in Hope, North Dakota, but grew up and lived many years in Long Beach. In 1961, he moved his family to Northern California, where they lived in Paradise, Alamo, and Danville. Duane was a lieutenant and fighter pilot in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He later went into industrial sales, establishing a reputation for his excellent service and forming lifelong friendships. He was a true gentleman There was nothing Duane enjoyed more than spending time with family. He and his wife, Gayly Joan Warner, who preceded him in death in 1995, loved their home life among the redwoods he planted on their property in Danville. He is survived by his son, Corrie (Linda) Warner, of Concord; daughter, Cindie Farley of Pacific Grove; and granddaughter Morgan Daily of Sacramento. His ashes will be scattered with his wife Gayly's off the coast of Carmel. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013, from 1-4 at the Brass Door in San Ramon.
