Albert Lee Doyle passed away peacefully in Walnut Creek, on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, after a short illness. He was 88 years old.
Lee was born in the Panama Canal Zone to Ida & Al Doyle. When he was 18, he went into the Navy during World War II, and served on the USS Radford from 1943-1946.
After the war, Lee completed his schooling, graduating from Cal with a degree in education. He spent over 30 years as a high school English teacher, mostly at Westmoor High School in Daly City, CA.
In 1958, he married Willedotte Brix, and they celebrated over 55 years together.
He loved traveling and family get-togethers. He also enjoyed all sports, especially golf, and was a member of the SIRS. And he was a loyal fan of the 49ers, Giants and Warriors.
Lee was predeceased by his son, Jeffrey, also his sister, Eva Jeanne Hanson, and his brother, Jim Doyle.
He is survived by his loving family, his wife Willedotte, his daughter Susie Dea (Dennis) of S.F., 3 grandchildren: Christine and Matthew Doyle of Fremont, and Katie Dea of S.F, and many nieces and nephews. He will be missed.
The family has planned a prviate memorial.
