Obituary Condolences

Marian Davis McCosker Resident of Orinda Marian Davis McCosker was born in San Francisco, May 19, 1916. She attended Galileo HS and UC Berkeley, where she graduated with a BS in 1936. Marian was a school teacher, before marrying John H. McCosker in 1940. She has since lived in the East Bay for 74 years: Albany, Orinda, Walnut Creek. With her husband, John, she has been affiliated with the West Berkeley and Berkeley Lions Club(s), the Serra Club, the Orinda Tennis Club and the Oakland Fukuoka Sister Cities Society. Through the Lions Club, they were involved with the California School for the Blind scouts for many years, on their properties in Orinda and Canyon. Marian enjoyed playing bridge at St. Perpetua's Catholic Church. She was a member of Moraga's Seniors and took swim classes in Orinda for many years. Marian was windowed in 1995 after being married to John Harvey McCosker for 55 years. She is survived by her four children: Vicki Saputo, Gary, Randy and Roger McCosker, and 7 grandchildren: Sean and Kevin White, John and Kirk McCosker, Scott and Natalie McCosker, and Brett McCosker. Marian had one great grandchild, Seaya White. A funeral/mass will be held on behalf of Marian at 10:30 AM on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2013 at St. Monica's Catholic Church, 1001 Camino Pablo, Moraga, CA 94556. Donations to Hospices of the East Bay, 3470 Buskirk Ave, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523, in lieu of flowers.
