Sam Pappalardo, born in Upton, Massachusetts on November 27, 1929 passed away surrounded by family on March 19, 2014 at the age of 84.
Sam is survived by Jean, his wife of 64 years, his children, Philip Tod Pappalardo of Palm Springs, CA and Rene Pappalardo of Alamo, CA, his brother, Frank Pappalardo of Alameda, CA, his adoring dog, "Bella" and many nieces and nephews. Sam will be remembered for his optimistic attitude toward life and his tremendous love of family and friends.
Sam spent his entire career in the power tool business - first as a representative of SKIL Corporation and then for Makita Corporation, where he introduced Makita power tools to the U.S. market.
Sam served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War and was actively engaged in many veterans groups throughout his lifetime.
Sam and Jean lived in Danville, CA for 38 years where Sam served as a local Fire Marshall for a number of years. After retirement, they moved to Somerset in Brentwood where they made many new friends.
Sam's life will be celebrated on Tuesday, March 25th at 11AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 500 Fairview Ave. in Brentwood. A reception for family and friends will follow at Somerset #3 Clubhouse located at 1581 Regent in Brentwood.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kaiser Hospital Hospice in Antioch
