Carol Perry Obituary

Carol Jean Perry
July 1, 1953 - May 3, 2014
Resident of Danville
On Saturday morning, May 3rd, Carol Jean Perry departed earth to take up residence in heaven. It is now undoubtedly, a more organized and classy place.
Carol was a courageous woman who fought arduously against breast cancer for the past six years. During this battle, her strength and comfort were drawn from her undying faith and focus on Her Savior, Jesus Christ. Throughout her life Carol was beautiful inside and out, exuding compassion, creativity, faith and selflessness. She always made those around her feel special. She had a way of listening intently and remembering what you had said. She had a kind and gentle spirit; was a loyal and trustworthy friend; a true giver of her time and considerable talents; and her devotion and love for her family were inspiring. Carol's sense of humor had a way of brightening any moment and she was always a joy to be around.
Carol leaves behind a family she loved and adored and for whom she was the biggest cheerleader: Her first mate, best friend, high school sweetheart and husband of 40 years, Lee; her eldest son, Christopher and his wife, Heather; her daughter Lauren and her husband Ryan; and her son David. And with the birth of Chris and Heather's son, Andrew James, she also got the taste of being a grandmother; and it was a sweet one. Her family was the source of her greatest joy and pride and she will be so dearly missed. Last but not least, Carol is survived by her dear mother, Lena Daily, and her sister, Judy Gibson.
A memorial service celebrating Carol Jean Perry's life will be held on Thursday, May 15, at 4 o'clock PM, at Community Presbyterian Church, 222 West El Pintado, Danville, California 94526.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to City of Hope or Cancer Support Community - San Francisco Bay Area.

My mother was my best friend and biggest supporter. It has been nearly 3 years since her passing and I think about her everyday. She is the gentle breeze, the voice that tells me she's proud and to keep going, the woman I strive to be that exuded so much compassion, faith, and love.

I am so honored to be her daughter and to have her as my angel from up above. Her presence is all around and she makes life her on earth so much more beautiful.

Our hearts are deeply saddened with this loss of Carol. She fought tenaciously for life, but this cancer was just too wicked. God must have really needed her talents to
upscale Heaven – organize it and give it more class.

Carol was the first person we met at Marina Village, and she welcomed us onto her boat to help us embrace our new life of sailing. We always enjoyed spending time with Carol and Lee. They are magnificent people.
We will miss her, but, she will always be alive in our hearts. We wish Lee strength to heal this huge loss.
Regretfully we will not be able to attend Carol's service, for we will be in Boise attending our son-n-law's college graduation.
We send you our support and love,
Kathie and John Hamilton

Perry Family- lovely does not even begin to describe the countenance and nature of Carol's heart. She loved deeply and completely, and carried her banner of faith high in the air. She touched lives everywhere around her, and everyone wanted to be her friend. She was an inspiration to all in her circle, and included each of us in her warm light. The Grinstead's celebrate her arrival in heaven, and our prayers will continue for the family she leaves here:). Bless you all, we are sorry to miss the celebration as our son is graduating from college on Friday and we will be away. Warm Hugs- Tom, Laura, Lindsey, Julianne and Brandon Grinstead
