Beloved mother and grandmother, Rosalie Danna Girdner, 73, passed away peacefully at Marysville Care Center on Feb. 1, 2013 with her family by her side.
She was known to many as Rosie.
She was born in Colusa on March 15, 1939 and was a lifelong resident of Northern California.
Rosie was the youngest of five children born to Roy and Retha Crabtree and was called "Baby" throughout her life.
She attended schools in Colusa and Sutter.
Rosie was a longtime cocktail waitress at Little Joe's and the Sportsman's Club in Colusa.
She loved having coffee and hot chocolate every morning at Tommy's Market Street Grill and was a regular visitor to Chef Colus and Riverside Lanes.
Rosie is survived by her son Bill Manville and daughter Donna Mahorney, both of Colusa; grandchildren Samantha Mahorney of Princeton, Joe, Jessica and Dana Mahorney of Colusa, and Zack and Brett Manville of Colusa; great-grandchildren Mallary Young and Alexis Rudolph; brother-in-law Robert Dixon of Woodland; nephews Mike Meeker of Maxwell, Danny, Larry and Jimmy Dixon of Woodland, nieces Terry Bradshaw of Red Bluff and Retha Dodson of Maxwell.
Her beloved husband, Bruce Girdner, preceded her in death in 1971.
She was also preceded in death by her father and two older brothers Joe Dan and Leroy Crabtree, who died in a Colusa house fire the night she was born; mother and stepfather Retha and Bill McGarvey of Woodland; sisters Nada Dixon of Woodland and Ada Sandridge of Cottonwood; and nephew Mark Meeker of Colusa.
Family visitation will be held from 4-5 p.m. on Thursday at McNary-Moore Funeral Services, 107 Fifth St., Colusa. Public visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church, 326 Jay St. (Fourth Street), Colusa.
A reception will follow in the Church social hall.
She will be interred next to her husband in the Marvin Chapel Cemetery in Afton.

Rosie was a very loyal employee and we are going to miss her! We wish her family well and know she loved you!!!

Ive known rosie for many years. she was a very sweet lady. just dont get her mad she was tough little lady. i babysat for donna and bill when they were babies. rest in peace rosie will miss u lots

Rosie was such a sweet, happy and hard headed lady. We loved her visits at the shop. She loved to read and we swapped books. She always made us laugh, such a great lady, we will really miss her but she will forever be in our hearts.
