Jack William Staple

Jack William Staple died at the age of 87 at Colusa Regional Medical Center on April 8, 2013 with his loving family at his side. He was born on June 12, 1925 in Colusa to Harry and Cora Staple.

Jack joined the Navy in 1943 serving three years on the aircraft carrier USS Savo Island. Upon returning home he married Janet Allen of Colusa in 1948. They had two daughters, Jay and Janice. Jack and family resided in Colusa working as a carpenter and farm foreman until his retirement. Jack will be remembered for his love of old cars and his later years his folk-art style wood carving.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Staple; daughters, Jay Flagor (Kenneth) of Colusa and Janice Lauppe (Christopher) of Alturas; 6 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

There will be no services.
