Robert Aren Ruble(1929-2012)

Robert Aren Ruble passed away peacefully on November 23, 2012, at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, Calif.

Born in Grimes, Ca on January 18, 1929, Robert was a life long resident of 83 years.

PFC Robert Ruble served in the U.S. Army from November of 1952 through November of 1954. He spent 1 year and 28 days in Korea with Company F 17th Infantry Regiment and fought on Pork Chop Hill between April 1953 and July of 1953. Mr. Ruble received the Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, the United Nations Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.

Robert was preceded in death by his wife Rose Marie Ruble; son, Mark Edward Ruble; sister, Leta Mc Whirter; and brothers, Clyde and Bruce Ruble. He is survived by his wife Eckey; stepsons, Andrew and Chris Brooks; daughter, Crystal and son-in-law Dennis Whiteleather; grandson, Keenan Ruble Whiteleather; daughter-in-law, Penny Ruble; sister Dorothy and brother-in law Bill Runkle; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Grimes Community Church in Grimes, CA. Interment will be at the Grand Island Cemetery.
