Robert (Gus) Brown, a descendant of a California pioneer family, was born January 38, 1934 and passed away April 30, 2013. He was a native of Colusa, California, where he attended local schools and was student body president of his senior class at Colusa High School. Following graduation, he farmed rice for a short time. Thereafter, he pursued a career in the U. S. Air force as a pilot and flew many missions to Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. He retired with the rand of Lieutenant Colonel. He traveled extensively in Europe and Asia during his retirement years.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 29 years, Jackie; sons, Kelly of Chico Calif., Kirk of Susanville, Calif., and Keith of Reno, Nev.; and his sister, Virginia Boggs of Davis, Calif.
