Jose Ramon Gonzalo (Chalo) Silvas ,60, of Williams, passed away on June 24, 2013 at Enloe Medical Center with his family by his side.

Chalo was born on January 10, 1953 in San Pedro de la Cueva, Sonora, Mexico to parents Francisco and Rafaela Silvas. He moved to Williams California in 1969 and began working for Charles Manhart, for whom he was employed for over 30 years. He had a passion for hard work and music. He will be remembered for his strong sense of family and his kind, giving and unique personality.
He was preceded in death by his father, Francisco Silvas and his twin sons, Francisco and Jose Luis Silvas.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years; Maria Josefina Silvas of Williams, his mother; Rafaela Silvas of San Pedro de la Cueva, Sonora, Mexico, his son; Victor Silvas (wife Deidre) of Colusa, his daughter; Stefani Santana (husband Carlos) of Williams, grandsons; Logan, Carlos (Charlie) and Dante Santana of Williams and Nikolas Silvas of Colusa and six siblings.
A memorial mass will be held at the Catholic Church of the Annunciation in Williams on Saturday, July 6th at 3:30 p.m. with a gathering of friends and family to follow at the Carlos and Stefani Santana residence at 937 Sierra Oaks Drive in Williams. Arrangements entrusted to the Neptune Society of No CA, Chico Branch.
