Marie Catherine Beduhn Obituary
Marie Catherine Beduhn passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Mirsona
Manor in Williams, Calif. A native of Oskhosh, Wisconsin she was born on November 25, 1913. Marie and her husband Bitts Beduhn moved to California when he was employed with the Forest Service to work on a project raising rubber trees in Arbuckle, Calif. for the Department of Defense. Marie quickly was taken with the California lifestyle and became involved in many community and social activities.

Marie was a member of the group to establish the Colusa Golf and Country Club. She was president of Colusa Ladies Golf Assn and the Colusa Junior Womens' Club. She also was a member of the Catholic Ladies Relief Society, many bridge clubs and worked for the county clerks' election board well into her 90's .

She was preceded in death by her daughter Cynthia Beduhn Cerney, her husband, W.H. (Bitts) Beduhn, a grandson Otto Beduhn, and by her 13 siblings. She is survived by her son, Jim Beduhn; daughter, Gail Beduhn; grandchildren, Brian Moore, Adrienne Mavis (Moore), Amanda Moore, Margaret Moore , Andrew Beduhn, Christopher Cerney, Alissa Pattison, James Pattison; and eight great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday January 18, 2014 at our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Colusa. The family suggests that contributions may be made in her memory to Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School or . The family wishes to thank the hospital staff at Colusa Regional Medical Center, hospice staff and especially the Mirsona Manor care givers for their special appreciation for Marie's unique personality and family support during her final hours. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday January 18, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 4th and Oak Colusa, CA.
