Our beloved Mother and Grannie passed away on Thursday, January 24 at her home in Orland with family by her side. She was 94 years old. Edna Mae was born on April 14, 1918 in Kirkman, Iowa to George and Iva Ferry .The family came to California in 1930. Edna graduated from Hamilton City High School in 1936. She married Eugene Raposa the following year .he preceded her in death in 1986, four months shy of their 50th wedding anniversary.

In Gran's younger years, she was an avid homemaker, when her children started school she worked in retail department stores in Willows and Red Bluff. She was a charter member of U.P.P.E.C .in Willows. She loved antiquing, her plants, and watching the programs "American Idol" and "Dancing with the Stars". Her favorite Sunday afternoon activity was watching Ice skating on television. Most of all, her family was her treasure .She never forgot a birthday or an anniversary and you could always expect a card, or a special treat.

Edna is survived by her three children, son Terry Raposa {Nancy} of Orland , daughter Kay Lewis{John} of Chico, and daughter Bonnie Fitzgerald of Sacramento. 8 grandchildren , 12 great grandchildren, and 2 great great granddaughters.3 sisters, Evelyn Quadros of North Highlands, Mena Johnson of Redding and Mina Chester of Elk Grove and a brother Kenneth Ferry {Jean} of Orland.

Granny, you were a trooper with a sense of humor until the very end. You will be forever in our hearts.

There will be a viewing on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Brusie Funeral Home, 626 Broadway St. Chico. A funeral service for Edna Mae Raposa will be held on Saturday February 2,2013 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Brusie Funeral Home.
