"Together Again" Catherine Sheely
KILLBUCK: Catherine "Katy" Sheely, 82, of Killbuck, Ohio passed away Monday morning, June 17, 2013 at the Holmes County Home, Holmesville, Ohio following a brief illness.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Killbuck United Methodist Church with Pastor Kenneth Smailes officiating. Burial will be at the Killbuck Cemetery, Killbuck, Ohio. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service on Thursday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio.
Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Holmes County Home, 7260 SR 83, Holmesville, Ohio 44633, Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne (Holmes) County, 2525 Back Orrville Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691, or to the Killbuck United Methodist Church, 410 North Main St., Killbuck, Ohio 44637.
She was born December 30, 1930 in Mechanic Twp., Ohio and was the daughter of Glenn and Catherine (Walter) Elliott. On March 1, 1952 she married James Sheely, and he preceded her in death November 18, 2002.
She worked for Shreiner Sole Company of Killbuck, retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Killbuck United Methodist Church, the choir, and the United Methodist Women. She was a member of a Bridge Club. She enjoyed reading and loved her family.
Surviving are three children, Lynn Sheely (Gale Robison) of Killbuck, Ohio, Diane (Jerry) Schonauer of Millersburg, Ohio, and Peggy (Brad) Conn of Millersburg, Ohio; four grandchildren, Katie Sheely, Kelli (Chris) Jones, Nicole Schonauer, and Brandon Conn; two great grandchildren, Grady and Jillian Jones; daughter-in-law, Peg Sheely of Millersburg, Ohio; a brother, Richard Elliott of Canfield, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jim Sheely II, a grandson, Ryan Schonauer, a sister, Mary Jane Croskey, and a niece V. Sue Croskey.
The family would like to thank the staff at Holmes County Home, for the love and care for mom, and friends Dema and Norma.
