Lauvray, Laura  
Laura E. (Hiser) Lauvray COSHOCTON: Laura E. (Hiser) Lauvray, age 99, of Coshocton, passed away on May 27, 2016. Laura was born in Linton Township on September 29, 1916 to the late Jesse and Ella (Mortine) Hiser. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and graduated from the Sacred Heart School in 1934. On April 27, 1935, Laura married Vincent "Jack" Lauvray, who preceded her in death on June 4, 1976. Laura enjoyed cooking, sewing, crocheting, and playing cards. She was the first cook at Sacred Heart Cafeteria, which opened on January 19, 1963. Laura is survived by three children: Donald (Shirley) Lauvray, Jean (Noah) Raber), and David (Ina) Lauvray; 14 grandchildren: Steve, Lynn, Bob, Barb, Tom, Dan, Laurel, Donna, David, Jeff, Lisa, Greg, Amy, and Tammy; 31 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren (and she is expecting two more), sister-in-law, Esther Hiser, daughter-in-law, Marilyn Lauvray, and several nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, Laura is preceded in death by her children, Barbara Ellen and James Louis Lauvray, her brother, Jesse Hiser, and her great-granddaughter, Abigale Lauvray. A funeral service will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 with Father Victor and Father Blubaugh officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held at Given-Dawson Funeral Home on Tuesday prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. For those who wish, contributions can be made to Sacred Heart Catholic School, 805 Main St, Coshocton, OH 43812, or to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 805 Main St. Coshocton, OH 43812. Stahl, Kenneth E.  
Kenneth E. Stahl NEWCOMERSTOWN: Kenneth E. Stahl 88 of Newcomerstown went home to be with the Lord Monday, May 23, 2016. He was born March 23, 1928 in Adams Twp., Coshocton County to the late John Henry and Sarah (Zimmerman) Stahl. He was a carpenter by trade and loved spending time on his farm with family and friends. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing for others, horseback riding, and many unique building projects. He is preceded in death by his wife Gloria Ann Masters, his brothers Harry, Chester and Jacob Stahl and sister Florence Olinger. He is survived by his children Larry (Jane) Stahl, Rhonda (Todd) Hogarth and Dianna (Chuck) Ellison, his sister Edith Griffith, beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends. The family would like to say a special Thank You to Sally Specht. In keeping with Kenny's wishes, a Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Bakersville Cemetery. Wright, Richard  
Richard H. Wright COOPERDALE: Richard H. "Dick" Wright, 89, of Cooperdale passed away Friday, May 27, 2016 at Mt. Carmel East Hospital in Columbus following a hemorrhagic stroke. He was born in Coshocton County on Dec. 11, 1926 to the late Lawrence and Thelma (Moore) Wright. He served in U.S. Army Specialized Unit, Cannon Company, 20th Infantry 6th Division, in South Pacific and Korea. He worked as truck driver and diesel mechanic for 18 years for Ward E. Lanning Trucking of Coshocton. He retired in 1989 as a mechanic from the Buckeye Fabric Company of Coshocton. He taught Auto Mechanics at River View High School 1970-71, and drove school bus for the River View District. He was a member of the Cooperdale Nazarene church for over 60 years, where he was active in youth group leadership and other church activities. He was also a Coshocton Public Library volunteer. Over the years enjoyed fishing, boating, horseshoes, golf, bowling and many other interests. He devoted his life to helping others and caring for his family. His enthusiastic love of life and people brought happiness to countless friends and acquaintances. He is survived by Mildred (Miller) Wright, his wife of 63 years, whom he married on April 25, 1953; his children, Mark (Pam) Wright of Raymond, Phil (Diane) Barcus of Powell, and Joy (Barcus)Vance of Gambier; five grandchildren, Tony Vance, Brandon Barcus, Christopher (Gena) Wright, Carly Barcus, and Matthew Wright; two great-grandchildren, Riley Vance and Aubree Wright; a sister Margaret (Wright) Crozier; and a half-brother, Jack Hittle; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Wright; and a half-sister, Norma (Gray) Rae. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Buck Traylor officiating. Burial will follow in West Carlisle Cemetery, with graveside military rites performed by the Coshocton Co. Veterans Honor Guard. Ruth A. Sees COSHOCTON: Ruth A. Sees, 99, of Coshocton passed away at Walnut Grove Nursing Home on Thursday May 26, 2016. She was born in Coshocton County and graduated from West Lafayette High School. She loved to read, and being raised on a farm, she also enjoyed cooking, baking, canning and gardening. Ruth was employed at Pope Gosser China Company in Coshocton, RCA in Cambridge and Newark Air Force Base where she retired. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Anita Stingel; husband Francis Sees; sister Eleanor Emslie; brother Paul (Betty) Stingel and a nephew Ralph Stingel. Ruth is survived by her two sons Larry Sees of Zanesville and Richard (Joyce) Sees of Coshocton; granddaughter Donna Alexander-Murphy of Newark; great grandchildren Kortney, Kirstie and Erikka; great great grandchildren Hyden, Paul, Huxson and Cooper; nieces Carol, Linda, Lori and Selene; brother in law Roy Emslie of West Lafayette. In keeping with Ruth's wishes there will be no viewing, and a cremation will take place. A family only graveside service will be held in South Lawn Cemetery, Coshocton on Tuesday May 31, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Minister John Gibson officiating. Griesinger, Florence C. (Hothem)  
Florence C. (Hothem) Griesinger COLUMBUS: Florence C. (Hothem) Griesinger, Age 83 of Columbus, Ohio died Sunday, May 15,2016 at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. She was born July 3, 1932 in West Lafayette, Ohio to the late C. Earl Hothem and Dorothy E. (King) Hothem. She graduated from Stone Creek High School (1950) and Massillon School of Nursing (1953). She worked at numerous hospitals throughout the state of Ohio, spanning over 50 years, as a registered nurse. Her last position was in the medical claims division for the State of Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services. In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Rev. Robert P. Griesinger, daughter Pamela Lynn Griesinger and two brothers, Ervin and Russell Hothem. Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Sandra Stout of Columbus, Ohio and Candy (Joel) Staley of Cardington, Ohio; son, Dale (Rita) Griesinger of Hillard, Ohio; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; three brothers, Earl (Doris) Hothem of Covington, Georgia, Bernard of San Antonio, Texas, and Robert (Elaine) Hothem of Centerville, Ohio; two sisters, Velma(Donald) Poland of Navarre, Ohio and Rita (Jerry) Lahmers of Newcomerstown, Ohio; sister-in-law, Claire Hothem of Park Ridge, New Jersey. Memorial Services were held at Snyder-Rodham Funeral Center, 1510 W. William Street, Delaware, Ohio on Thursday, May 19. 2016. Private burial services at Northlawn Memory Gardens, Westerville, Ohio will take place at a later time. Mary Dawson ZANESVILLE: Mary Dawson, 73, of Zanesville passed away Monday May 23, 2016 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born in Coshocton on April 3, 1943 to the late James and Audrey (Young) Hack. Mary worked at as a waitress and at Pretty Products before retiring. On November 21, 1964 she married John A. Dawson, whom passed away May 20, 2005. She is survived by her children Debra ( Delmont) Dobson of Conesville, Sandra (Robert) Brown of Zanesville, Wesley (Dawn) Dawson of Coshocton, Jay (Tricia) Dawson of Coshocton, John (Sherry) Dawson of Tennessee, Ronnie Dawson of Tennessee, and Maryann (Jay) Johnson of Virginia; grandchildren Duane (Melanie Egnew), DeAnn, and Delmont "D.J." Dobson III, Jennifer (Cody) Hough, Brandi (Adonis Brooks) Brown, Sharhonda Brown, Dominque (Jorden) King, Trever (Allison) Dawson, Kelsey (Devin) Hammond, Lydia Dawson, Caedyn Dawson, and Brittany (James) Hanna. Siblings James (Mona Smith) Hack and Nancy Hale; brother-in-law Paul (Rosemarie) Dawson; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Jean Dayton COSHOCTON: Jean Dayton, age 93, of Coshocton, passed away peacefully at her daughter's home on Sunday, May 22, 2016. Jean was born in Coal Run on January 7, 1923 to the late Jess and Carrie (Miller) Danner. On November 19, 1940, she married the late Jess Dayton. Later she married the late Joe Terry. Jean is survived by three daughters, Mary (Dale) Hamilton, Nicki (Rick) Walker, and Lorretta Sue McCoy, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and a great-great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Dayton, and her daughter Sherry Rice. Per Jean's wishes, she will be cremated and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
