Billy R. "William" Lehman

NEWCOMERSTOWN: Billy R. "William" Lehman, 85, of Newcomerstown, OH, was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at Union Hospital. He was a loving, faith driven, devoted Christian. He was a loving husband of 61 years, the best dad in the world, and the most loving, kind and generous grandpa anyone could ever have.

Billy was born June 10, 1928 in Newcomerstown to the late Carl and Lenice (Strode) Lehman. He was a WWII U.S. Army Veteran. He retired from Alsco Aluminum in Gnadenhutten. He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Newcomerstown.

On December 31, 1952, he married Helen C. (Mardis) Lehman, who survives; also surviving are his four children, William R. (Ruth Ann) Lehman, Carl M. (Jodie) Lehman, Shirley M. (Johnnie) Kirk all of Newcomerstown, and David J. (Cindy) Lehman of North Salem; 13 grandchildren, Dave (Laura), Joey, Jessica (Joshua), Jennifer (Lewie), Dustin (Anne), Joshua (Kandace), Jacob (Catherine), Jordan (Erica), Samantha, Cassaundra, Travis, Alexis, and Emma; 15 great-grandchildren, and two on the way; two brothers, Jim (Carolyn) Lehman and Fred (Linda) Lehman all of Newcomerstown.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Lehman; and three brothers, Dayne, Wayne and Joey Lehman.

Services will be Friday, December 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Addy Funeral Home with Rev. Eric Miller officiating. Burial will follow in West Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will Thursday, December 12, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Newcomerstown Veterans Honor Guard.
