Devon E. Bercot

COSHOCTON: Devon Edwin Bercot, 21, died unexpectedly Saturday March 2, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton.

He was born June 25, 1991 in Coshocton to Jeffery E. Wolford and Marcie (Kohman) Lanning. He was a 2010 graduate of Coshocton High School, an employee of Buehler's Foods in Coshocton, and he attended the University of Mt. Union and the Fresno Bible Church. He was an avid soccer player, playing throughout his school years and currently. He also loved music, except for country that is!

Devon was good man with a great heart. He loved everyone, and was always there to help out anyone in need. He was a terrific son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin and he will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his mother, Marcie (David) Lanning of Lehigh Acres, FL, father, Jason (Debra) Bercot of West Lafayette, father, Jeffery Wolford of Urbana, a step-brother, A.J. Allman, and a step-sister, Leighanna Allman, both of West Lafayette, five grandparents; Norma (Don West) Kohman, Connie Murphy, and Larry Wolford, all of Coshocton, Carol Wolford of Urbana, and Ralph (Jessie) Bercot of West Lafayette, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, a very special cousin, Chloe Kohman of Coshocton, and his girlfriend, Ashley Akins of Warsaw.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Walter Kohman.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday March 7, 2013 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Chris Cutshall officiating. Cremation will take place after the service. Calling hours are from 3:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
