FRAZEYSBURG: Mary Gault, 96, of Frazeysburg, Ohio died Saturday afternoon, July 27, 2013 at her home.
Born February 14, 1917 in Fallsbury Township of Licking County she was a daughter of the late Denzil and Verna (Frey) Little and was a graduate of West Carlisle High School. Mary was a homemaker and she assisted her late husband, Willard, with the operation of their dairy farm for over fifty years. She was a long-time member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church and the Ladies Missionary Society of the church. She was also a former member of the Warsaw Garden Club. Mary enjoyed music and gardening, but she took her greatest pleasure from having her family all together around the dinner table at her home. She lived her life to serve others.
Surviving is one son and daughter in-law, Bill and Timmie Gault of Frazeysburg; two daughters and sons in-law, Ruthellen and Ron Anderson of Dawsonville, Georgia and Bethann and Phil Altman of Springfield, Virginia; seven grandchildren, Sheri (Jeff) McKenzie, Chris (Kim) Anderson, Melissa (Joe) Taylor, Matthew Roberts, Laura (Brian) Bednarske, Sarah (Ryan) Bagley and Megan (Justin) Wright; four step grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; seven step great grandchildren; a sister, Jean Ramsey of Newark; a brother in-law, Chester (Happy) Gault of Newark; a sister in-law, Dorothy Houdeshell of Kentucky; a cousin, Vinetta Battat of Newark and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Willard Gault whom she married December 31, 1939 and who died August 31, 1995; three brothers, Orville, Edgar and Bob Little and two brothers in-law, Roy Ramsey and Roe Houdeshell.
Calling hours will be 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street.
A celebration of Mary's life will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Mt. Pleasant Christian Church, 10866 Church Road, Frazeysburg, Ohio, with Pastor Karl Hoffman and Rev. Claude Likens officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Bladensburg.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Christian Church Ladies Missionary Society in care of the church.
