MILLERSBURG: Mary Jane Woodruff, age 65, of Millersburg, Ohio passed away peacefully Wednesday February 6, 2013 at the home of her daughter following a short illness.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Millersburg Christian Church with Pastors Jerry Craycraft and Craig Piatt officiating. Burial will be at the Prairie Township Cemetery, Holmesville, Ohio. Friends may call two hours prior to the service on Sunday at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne (Holmes) County, 2525 Back Orrville Road, Wooster, Ohio 44691. Arrangements are being handled by Alexander Funeral Home, Millersburg, Ohio.

She was born May 31, 1947 in Millersburg, Ohio and was the loving daughter of Raymond W. and Esther (Alexander) Jeffries. After graduating from West Holmes High School in 1965 she worked as a secretary for Bill Pyers Law Office, Close Irving Insurance and Mohr's Restauarant. She worked at Pomerene Hospital as a Medical Transcriptionist, retiring in 2005. She was a member of the Millersburg Christian Church. She loved collecting cookbooks, sewing, reading, and spending time with her grand kids.

She is survived by her mother Esther Jeffries of Applecreek, two children, Jeffrey Woodruff of Holmesville and Lori Woodruff of Millersburg; three grandchildren, Jessica Woodruff of Illinois and Jamie and Jenna Woodruff both of Holmesville; three sisters, Mrs. Nancy (Richard) Bevington of Lakeville, Jennie Jeffries of Applecreek, Mrs. Lou Ann (Ralph) Mallon of Canton; two nieces, two nephews; former husband Thomas E. Woodruff of Holmesville; and her cats Shadow and Miss Kitty.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Marcy Ann Woodruff; her father Raymond; and grandparents Ray and Helen Jeffries and Earl and Bertha Alexander.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Hospice for the care of Mary Jane.
