Charles Herbert "Casey" Jones

COSHOCTON: Charles Herbert "Casey" Jones, 73, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 12, 2012, at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital Palliative Care Unit

Born November 28, 1938 in Coshocton, he was the son of the late Ralph Ralston and Mary Martha (Parrish) Jones.

Casey was a 1956 graduate of Coshocton High School and a graduate of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan, where in 1961 he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Petroleum Engineering and in 1963 he received his Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration.

Casey was the proud owner and operator of Jones Oil Inc. and served the southeast Ohio area for over 35 years. Casey and Jones Oil Inc. received the 2002 Coshocton County Small Business Award.

In addition to being a member of the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene, he was active in many organizations including the Coshocton Lion's Club where he is a past president; current member of the Warsaw Lion's Club; founder and past president of the Southeastern Ohio Petroleum Club and Ohio Petroleum Association; member of the Scottish Rite Free Mason of Pennsylvania; member of People to People International, and was an avid traveler who visited seven continents of the world through People to People.

Casey enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will truly be missed by his wife, Judith Lee (Vos) Jones who he married February 1, 1964; daughter Jeannine Ann Jones McCurdy of Coshocton, James Alan (Amy) Jones of Salisbury, Maryland; three grandchildren Clint James McCurdy of Coshocton, Hope Patricia Jones, Ethan Morgan Jones of Salisbury, Maryland, relatives and a host of friends.

In addition to his parents, Casey was preceded in death by a sister Carol Sue McNeely.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 16, 2012, at the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene with Pastors Don Lain and Richard King officiating. Interment will follow at Roscoe Cemetery.

Calling hours will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at the Free Funeral Home in Coshocton and from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Thursday prior to the services at the Nazarene Church.
