COSHOCTON: D. Christine Jensen, 96, of Cherry Street went to be with the Lord Friday, November 8, 2013 at her residence.

She was born June 8, 1917 in Coshocton to the late George Franklin and Pearl (McDowell) Smalley Sr.. She married Kenneth J. Jensen, October 5, 1941, who preceded her in death on April 23, 1964.

She lived in the Warsaw area for over 66 years. During her lifetime she was a member and very active in the Warsaw United Methodist Church, helping at various time with VBS, past member of the UMW, and Homemakers Club. She worked at Pope Gosser, a cook at Katie & Bob's Restaurant, sold Avon in the Village of Warsaw, and retired as a cook from the Warsaw Elementary School in 1984. She enjoyed yard work (especially mowing), and baking.

Christine's family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Heartfelt and Health Services of Coshocton, especially Amy Smith, for their love, care, and support to Christine and her daughters.

Christine is survived by three children, Elaine Jensen of Warsaw, Darryl (Mona) Jensen of Fresno, and Anne (Gary) Kilpatrick of Warsaw; four grandchildren, Deanna and Amanda Kilpatrick, Khrysti and Tiffany Jensen, a step-granddaughter, Nina (Garrison) Bryant; two great-grandchildren, Alex and Saige Taylor, and two step-great-granddaughters, Morgan and Lindsay; and several beloved nieces, nephews, church friends, and neighbors.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Carson, Arthur, Dick, Clarence, and George Smalley Jr.; four sisters, Margaret Ridenbaugh, Lela Busenburg, Inez Hoobler, and Mildred McConnell.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 12, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastors Richard Rothrock and John Rahter officiating. Burial will be in the Coshocton County Memory Gardens. Visitation is Monday, November 11, 2013 from 6-8 p.m.
