COSHOCTON: Denver Lee Kirk, 80, passed from this life and entered into eternity to be with the Lord, July 21, 2012. He was born August 8, 1931 to the late Charles Earl and Eula Hilda (Toland) Kirk in Guernsey County. He resided at Autumn Health Care Center, Coshocton since March of 2009. His body will be laid to rest at Coshocton County Memory Gardens beside his wife Janet Marie (Sandy) Kirk who preceded him in death May 13, 2000. Denver and Janet were married August 1, 1986.
Denver served as a Private First Class in the U. S. Army from September 18, 1951 to August 24, 1953 when he received an Honorable release from active duty.
Although disabled he was very talented at fixing TV's and small appliances to pass his time, until the time he went blind. He enjoyed fishing and camping.
Denver wore many hats. He was quite the comedian, a son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend to many. He will be dearly missed by those that knew and loved him.
Services will be held at 1:30 P.M., Thursday, July 26, 2012, at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton with Paul Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens. Military honors will be conducted by the Coshocton County Veterans Council.
Calling Hours will be held from 12:30 to 1:30 P.M. Thursday prior to the funeral service at the Free Funeral Home.
