COSHOCTON: Donna Jean Tiedt, 77, of Coshocton passed away at 3:40 A.M., Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born April 11, 1935 in Coshocton, she was the only child of the late William Julius and Jane (McCleary) Tiedt.
Attending Sacred Heart school, Donna was a clerk at the former M.O'Neil Company for over 16 years before retiring. A member of Sacred Heart Church, Donna also participated in the ladies auxiliaries at the V.F.W. 2040 and the Eagles 761.
A host of family members are her husband Sherman W. Roderick; three sons Dr. Kenneth C. Gross, Jr. and significant other Jeanie Sacher of San Diego, California; William C. Gross of Columbus; Daniel L. Gross and wife Jackie of Coshocton; among the several grandchildren are James "Jimmy" Gross of San Diego, Billi Jo Gross of Columbus, Dustin Hartsock of Coshocton, Andria Thomas of Coshocton, Tyler Thomas of Alabama; several great-grandchildren including Lily Thomas, Abbey Thomas, Quincy Bussey, Isaiah Bronson and many friends.
Donna will be remembered for her cheerful personality and her lifelong fondness for rescued cats.
To honor Donna's request there are no calling hours. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, June 30, 2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Linton Township near Wills Creek with the Rev. Father William Hritsko officiating.
Also to abide by Donna's request that there be no flowers, only a yellow rose in her hand. Those wishing to make memorials may do so to Sacred Heart Church, 805 Main St., Coshocton or to the Salvation Army 219 N. 4th St., Coshocton. Envelopes are available at Free Funeral Home, Coshocton who is assisting the family.
