COLUMBUS: Sister Faye Cornelia Brown, 48, Columbus,Ohio went to be with her Lord and Savior October 6, 2012 at Grant Medical Center after a long 10 month battle, following surgery.
Faye graduated from Coshocton High School in 1981 and also from the Coshocton County JVS studying Cosmetology. Faye attended Bethlehem Elementary School. Faye was a Sister at the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob, Columbus, Ohio. Faye was devout in her faith. Although Faye had no children of her own, she had a hand in raising all of her nieces and nephews. She was a friend to all and loved by many. Faye was born March 8, 1964 in Chester County, PA to the late James O. Brown Sr., and Frances (John) Holmes.
Faye is survived by her mother and step-father Frances S. and John Holmes, Princess Anne, MD; five brothers and two sisters. Roger (Opal) Brown, Warsaw, OH, James (Alana) Brown Jr., Diana, TX, Robert (Sandy) Brown, Zanesville, OH, Naaman Brown, Mooresville, NC, Anthony (Michele) Brown, Coshocton, OH, Mary (David) Knapp Jr., Caldwell,OH, Dawn (Dustin) Gay, Barber ton, OH; and best friend Julie McConnell, Pearl, OH.
She is preceeded in death by her father James O. Brown Sr.; and brother John Paul Brown, along with several aunts, uncle and cousins.
Friends and family may call Friday, October 12, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at Given-Dawson Funeral Home, Coshocton. Funeral services will be Saturday October 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Supreme Council of the House of Jacob. Viewing will be one half hour prior to services. Burial to be held at Macpelah Cemetery.
