Gary Chilcote Obituary
COVINGTON, IN: Gary E. Chilcote, of Covington, Indiana died on Thursday, May 26, 2011, after several month illness.
Gary moved to the Covington area after graduating from Coshocton High School 1954. He was in the U.S. Army Reserves and continued to farm for the next 43 years, retiring in 1990 then working as a crop adjustor and most recently as the proprietor of the Northside Pub.
Gary is survived by his wife, Lesley (Taylor) Chilcote; and his couch companions, Bella and Brutus Hayes; his daughters and sons-in-law, Karen (Eric) Roberts and Hillary (Jeff) Gayler; his five grandchildren; Gary is also survived by two brothers, Herb (Carolyn) Chilcote of Tucson, AZ, as well as Thad (Kim) Chilcote of Pataskala, OH; and a sister, Nancy (Harry) Bieber of Coshocton, Ohio.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Mary (Spring) Chilcote, who gave him life April 30, 1936; and a son, Richard Lee (Rocky) Knight (1992).
A Celebration of his life will be on Saturday, June 4, at Rivercrest Golf Course, Covington, IN, from 5-9 p.m.
We would also ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Gary Chilcote Legacy Fund c/o Lesley Chilcote, 1329 Liberty Street, Covington, Indiana 47932.
