Laura Emma Wright

HILLIARD: Laura Emma Wright, age 93, of Hilliard, formerly of Mount Vernon, passed away peacefully on Monday January 7, 2013 at the Mill Run Gardens and Care Center in Hilliard.

Laura was born October 24, 1919 in Coshocton to Samuel Ward Miller and Gertrude Lena (Irwin) Miller and was a graduate of Coshocton High School. She had worked at the former "Fashion Page" apparel store and Deanna's Dress Shop both in Mount Vernon. In 1974 Laura became Co-Founder of "Tiffany's Restaurant" in Mount Vernon.

Laura was an active member of the First Christian Church in Mount Vernon where she was a choir member and served on various church committees. She was also a member and Past Worthy Matron of Knox Chapter #236 Order of Eastern Star in Mount Vernon.

Surviving are her children Deanna Wright Lauer of State College, PA, Dr. L. Craig (Jane Pilotti) Wright of Dublin; son-in-law Ron Brewster of Hilliard; eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years E. Dean Wright; brother Frederick Miller; sister Lena M. Ewing; daughter Brooke Wright Brewster; granddaughter Jennifer Brewster Gierman, and sons-in-law S. Allen House and Robert W. Lauer.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050, where a service celebrating the life of Laura Emma Wright will follow at 11 AM. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who wish may make a contribution in Laura's name to the Gierman Children Fund at the Huntington National Bank, P O Box 1558-EA5C48, Columbus, Ohio 43216 (In honor of their great grandmother).

The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff and caregivers at the Mill Run Gardens and Care Center in Hilliard for the loving care they provided to Laura during her stay.
