COSHOCTON: Malcolm "Mac" Chase, 95, Coshocton passed away at 9:35 A.M., Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Coshocton Health and Rehabilitation Center and joined his beloved wife Ethel who he married January 23, 1941.
Born May 28, 1916 in Sullivan, Indiana, he was the son of the late Clyde and Mabel (Perrigo) Chase.
A 1934 graduate of Coshocton High School, Malcolm was employed for 37 years at the former St. Regis Paper Company in Coshocton before retiring as a heavy equipment operator on October 1, 1979.
He had attended Branch Church and was a lifelong golfer who appreciated the beauty of the outdoors. Malcolm enjoyed the company and friendship of his family and longtime neighbors.
Loving family members are his daughter, Diane K. Chase of Coshocton; a brother, Robert J. "Bob" (Alene) Chase of Warsaw; two sisters, Helen Kamban and Betty Lou Lillibridge both of Coshocton; many nieces, nephews, inlaws and a host of friends.
In addition to his parents; Malcolm was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel F. (Meek) Chase who died on November 29, 1994; three sisters, Lois J. Arron, Dorothy Chase, Edna Chase; and a brother, Charles Chase.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton with Pastor Charles Warren officiating. Interment will follow at South Lawn Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m., Friday prior to the funeral service.
