COSHOCTON: Norma Jean Carr, 65, of Coshocton, went to be with her Lord at 1:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Zanesville, Ohio.
Born November 14, 1946 in Dover, she was the daughter of Henry Raymond and Edna Ruth (Dempster) Young.
A graduate of Kankakee, Illinois High School, Norma had been employed at the former Pretty Products and the Colonial Flag Company before becoming disabled.
Norma will be remembered for her love of flowers, crossword puzzles and playing bingo.
In addition to being a loving grandmother to her four grandchildren Emily Murray, Kenneth Josselyn II, Dezmin Arnold and Vanessa Young; Norma will truly be missed by her husband Charles Glenn Carr, Jr. who she married October 26, 1990; two daughters Nicole Lynn Young of Mound, Minnesota, Shawnna Rae (Jon) Arnold of West Lafayette; brother Ray "Jack" (Phyllis) Young of Newcomerstown; mother-in-law Pauline Newell of Coshocton; several nieces, nephews, relatives and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by a brother Wayne Young; sister Shirley Hall; and sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Jack Mardis.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, May 19, 2012, at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton with Pastor Steve Young officiating. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery in West Lafayette.
Calling hours will be held at the Free Funeral Home from 9:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 19, 2012, prior to the funeral service.
The family has requested that donations be made to the Norma Carr Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 961, Coshocton to assist with final expenses. Envelopes are available at the Free Funeral Home.
